What is
ThinClient (Printer Friendly Version
provided by
Swan-Anti Solutions) Difference Between ThinClient and PC ThinClient the name it self says this is the client which
will be run by the Server. Thinclient is network based Hardware Device.
Thinclient is having RAM, Motherboard, Processor same as PC except Hard Disk.
Thinclient will have the Flash, in which all the programs are stored which are
necessary to start the Thinclient. For example GUI display for the connection
wizard, as earlier said this willbe connected to the Server that means
whatever you do the total operations willbe saved at server only the only
input, output is at Client (Thinclient). The request willbe accepted through
the input device and this will be sent to the server through network cable,
the operating willbe done there and the result the output willbe viewed on
your monitor. Compared to the PC this is maintenance free and centralized
maintenance. The problem is Server must be reliable and secure as every thing
is stored centrally. Network is also very much important.
A Thin Client is a computer that gets its software and data from network servers. The central storage and automated distribution of data and applications dramatically reduces expense. It also allows one or more users to work with multiple devices at many locations with the same set of data and applications.
