ALWAYS BE HAPPY
Long ago in a far off kingdom, there was a palace known as the ‘Palace of
1000 Mirrors’. The palace was empty for several months. A happy little boy
heard of this palace and decided to visit the palace once. When he
arrived, he jumped happily up the stairs to the doorway of the palace. He
looked through the doorway with his head lifted high and his hands waving
as fast as he could. To his great surprise, he found himself staring at
1000 other happy little boys with their hands waving just as fast as his.
He smiled a great smile. He was answered with 1000 great smiles just as
warm and friendly. As he left the palace he
thought to himself, “This is wonderful palace. I should come back and
visit it often.” In the
same village of the happy little boy another little boy who was not quite
as happy as the first one, decided to visit the palace. He reached the
palace and slowly climbed the stairs and hung his head low as he looked
into the door. Then he saw the 1000 unfriendly looking boys staring back
at him. He shouted at them. That’s all! He was horrified to see 1000
little boys shouting back at him. He ran
out of the palace immediately. As he left the palace, he thought to
himself, “This is a horrible place, and I will never ever come back to this palace.” Children,
all the faces in the world are mirrors. What kind of reflections do you
see in the faces of the people you meet? Be happy always and behave
properly with others. If people do not speak and behave properly with us,
it may be true that we are not speaking and behaving properly first with
them. From DC - Vangeepuram
